I support guaranteed access to quality health care for everyone in Alaska regardless of where they live or their ability to pay.

Unwise federal legislation enacted in 2025 is driving nearly 40,000 Alaskans off their health care coverage and contraction of health care services across the state. Until there is reform at the national level, it will be the difficult task of the State of Alaska to counter these cruel cuts to Medicare and Medicaid.

In any case, we should expand rural and tribal health systems so preventive, mental health, and acute medical care services are available close to home for more Alaskans.

I will always support the privacy of the patient-provider relationship and the right to make one’s own health care decisions.  This includes protecting reproductive freedom.
